After the amazing feedback on the original set of mixes FTC returns with two new mixes of the awesome "Jack's Back", this time courtesy of FTC regulars Oldboy (aka Dead Peasant) and Afreakwent. The Oldboy remix starts out with a dark and brooding tech groove with both tribal and trance overtones before dropping the anthemic vocal and then later, just when you aren't expecting, the anthemic piano groove gets filtered in as well. The contrast of all of these different elements adds up to somethin pretty special and is just perfect for those moments later in the night when you need something special! The Afreakwent mix takes us in a slightly more laid back direction with it's delicious 90s influenced bassline and subtly swingy percussion groove. There are definite hints towards a more jazzy vibe here as well and the overall effect is just to help you drift away for seven and a half minutes carried by the hypnotic vocal and bouncing synths. Another unique variation on the "Jack's Back" theme pulled off with style by Afreakwent.
