Forever being the cross-genre label it is, LNM Records move things into slightly different musical fields for their greatly anticipated 15th release, welcoming up-and-coming Manchester based producers The Dutch Rudder & Mark Wells to the fold with the beautifully balanced and fittingly named Love Not War EP - three tracks teeming with musical ideas and big beats that will resonate across dance-floors throughout the summer months. Mark Wells is known as being as part of the illustrious 'Purp & Soul' team. His highly regarded 'I Want You EP' on Purp & Soul Records featuring a remix from 'Miguel Puente' marked his immergence onto the scene with support coming from many top guns including 'Noir', 'James Teej', 'Andre Crom' and 'No Artifical Colours'. Part 2 of the duo Mark Bradbury also known as The Dutch Rudder is also no strangers to the House Music world, having been bubbling away on the Manchester scene for some years now recently being made the resident at one of the world best clubs, Sankeys, where he plays every Friday. On the production front with a string of releases on a whole host of labels picking up major support he's progressed and honed his distinctive sound that's been favourite by many. Upon teaming up, the much-hyped duo have crafter two Killer tracks that are already gaining support from some of the most respected DJ's in the world and it's not hard to see why. Both tracks slight different in style but drawn together and defined by the 90's house sound we all know and love, bringing together 909 hats, heavy kicks and pumping bass-line. 'I'm About' is a relentless Tech House workout that craves peak-time attention that's builds it's way into one of the biggest drops we've heard in a while. War on the other hand is a Deep House roller that blends an infectious bass-line with the unforgettable vocal sample of the notorious Edwin Starr track 'War'. All in all both tracks compliment each other nicely to form an amazing 1st outing for the duo and a solid debut release on LNM. The remix come's from the super talented Echomen alias of Anton Fielding and dance music veteran Chris Scott who's early success as part of 90's UK top 10 band Happy Clappers has led to him having years of experience touring the globe and producing as both Happy Clappers, Lexicon Avenue and Echomen, together they were also Mooncat. Here they've took the main elements of 'War' and turned out a remix that's bound to cause a stir among the underground heads and hit the Deep House charts like a hammer! They get to work with electro synth lines riding over the wondering bass and sharp percussion elements. Oozing with groovy melodies and funk this top's of the EP nicely while reaffirming the labels ever-growing presence.
