简介
Noted, award-winning Native American flute player, recording and touring artist Randy Granger presents an entire album of solo music on this magical, ancient instrument. Fans and listeners have asked for years for an instrumental album of the peaceful music of the Native Flute which appears on all his records. Ancient Grace is evocative of Granger's native southwestern deserts of the U.S. A track from this album has already been nominated for a New Mexico Music Award in 2014. Flutes have been used for centuries by the first nation's people of the Americas for healing ceremonies, prayer, meditation and even courting. Granger volunteers his music in Hospice since 2004 as well as in hospitals and assisted living facilities. Many staff and loved ones comment on how Hospice patients are able to release and let go while he is playing. The similarity of the flute to the human voice allows an instant connection for listeners. Granger performs on hand-crafted wooden flutes of many sacred woods including Cedar, Aspen, purple heart and more. A native of New Mexico, Granger's ancestry includes Mayan (Choldtan), Apache, Dogrib and Athabaskan as many of the indigenous peoples of the southwest. Granger teaches meditation is a licensed massage therapist, speaker, minister and full-time musician. Granger was featured on NPR's All Things Considered in 2007 for his work on the Panart Hang, an ethereal relative of the steel pans.
