This e.p crosses the sub-genre boundaries, mixing Liquid style with Jump-Up D & B rollers. Its Carrie This is a jump-up track written by Jazz-E. It starts with a driving Drum beat which is soon backed up with a warped bass sound. The sample Its Carrie can be heard throughout with a sinister evil laugh. This track has been design to get a dance floor moving in a positive fashion. New Era This track spotlights Jazz-Es more musical side and ability to incorporate it with a dance floor friendly drum and bass mix. The vocals included in this track tell the listener that this is the future and the one day things will get better. This helps bring a positive message to the audience. Explore! The main melody of the track was an original composition by guitarist Richard Boxley. He talentedly conceived this track over a liquid drum and bass rhythm section laid down by Jazz-E. The bass is the usual twisted affair consistent with other tracks on this release. However the tracks drum beat is a bit more down tempo compared to the previous two tracks. Engineers This track is a studio collaboration between Jazz-E and his good friend Hyde. Hyde appears courtesy of the record label Double UV Recordings. As engineers their joint creativity brings a track that is sure to be a dance floor smash. There is a wash of vocal samples carefully placed to convey a message while the bass tickles the bins. Outer Limit This is the final track on the e.p which is a collaboration between Jazz-E and the infamous TAKTIX the producer behind the club classic Its the way. Taktix has recently had releases on labels Apex and Frozen Audio (sister label to Double UV Recordings). This track is a little darker than the previous offerings. Its a blend of Jazz-Es arrangements and Taktix's experimental sound design which brings a different flavour to this extended play.
