Chadd has enjoyed success in many areas of the entertainment industry.” I didn’t set out to be in all areas of the industry, I’ve been blessed to have had opportunities come my way, so I took advantage of them. I’ve been able to experience show business from behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera, on stage, film and of course in music”. Chadd has been active in the industry since the late 90’s. His credits include, Off Broadway theatre , appearances on MTV and VH1, fashions shows in NYC, and L.A. billboards in Japan and licensing deals with Sony Music. In 2008 Chadd’s single “Heart” was featured in a PSA for the New York Red Bulls soccer team. In 2006 hard work and dedication paid off. He was invited to join the prestigious ranks of NARAS as a voting member of the Grammy Board.“ I still can’t believe that my opinion matters, “ he laughs, “ but I am extremely honored and flattered that I am recognized for my efforts”. The latest recording project is entitled, Better Day (remastered singles). The new cd is a combination of remastered singles from previous releases on Sony’s Hot Hits compilation cd’s and four new singles. Chadd’s blend of top 40 r&b style has been compared to contemporary artist Marc Anthony, and to legendary artists Prince, and Seal. His success has been steady and methodical. He continues to write and produce new music and is also working on a new book which is a unique combination of poetry, verses and lyrics. He adds, “ I feel like I’ve been put in this lifetime to contribute as an artist and a creative person. I want to do good with my life. It’s never easy for anyone, I’ve had my share of challenges like everyone else. I’ve been without financial security, I had unstable living situations and my share of dysfunctional relations and friendships. As I have grown in spirit, I’ve learned that all of life’s lessons serve us. I hope that my music and my life can serve others and inspire them to go beyond where they are.
