This project is a departure from his prior releases in that it features orchestra, choir and drums on many tracks, Michael on vocals and guitars on others, as well his trademark piano accompaniment throughout. Occasionally aggressive, often peaceful, always melodic, "Gravity" is the product of diverse influences. From the orchestral power of the title track, to the lilting feeling of "First Kiss", the gospel of "At the Summit", the classically tinged "Tanglewood", to the almost classic rock of "All is Mine", "Gravity" is a musical journey. Following the 11 main tracks is a bonus track - the beautifully simple (and simply beautiful) instrumental version of "Hush", a duet for piano and acoustic guitar.
