Fringe pushes the boundaries of the folk/pop genre by adding in the sound of the lever harp. As a long time player of Celtic music, Kristin saw how the sound of the harp captured the hearts of her audience. She believed that the same sound could also entrance people who listened to other genres. On four of the six tracks you can hear the harp blending with the drums and bass that are backing her voice. Kristin also shows her guitar abilities on the two other tracks and her powerful, angelic voice can be heard on the entire album. The songs give a taste of her broad range of song topics from being ready for love to standing up for what you believe to grieving after the loss of a loved one.
