When Rich first conceived the Last Train to Clarksville album, he was looking to put together a few songs that were simply fun to play. He started with a cover of Springsteen's Johnny 99, which was followed by his tongue in cheek country themed original Plastic Love. From there, the album just kind of grew on its own as he added in some thoughtful originals such as County Fair of Our Youth and Sorry Isn't Good Enough, as well as some almost folk songs like his original Battle of Queenston Heights and Woody Guthrie's Sinking of the Reuben James. The end result is a fun album that literally walks the borders of country, rock, and folk, making it a group of songs that appeals to just about everyone. Oh yes, and the Kid's Corner that finishes off the CD just hammers home how wide an audience this album appeals to.

This is Rich’s third CD and easily the one he is most proud of. Rich invites you to come on into the house, grab a beer (juice for the little ones), kick up your feet, and have a listen!
