简介
AMORE AD LUNAM FULL BIO TRUE AND SINCERE EMOTIONS TRANSFORMED INTO PIECES OF SONIC BEAUTY Amore Ad Lunam is one of the most prominent Rock bands that have emerged from Puerto Rico since 2006. Their sound consists of a mix between powerful riffs, melodic lead guitars, resonating keyboards and the drumbeats possess compelling vintage rhythmic variations. The vocals are deep mixed of dramatic and razor-breaking choirs. The songs encompass a wide range of rock-based genre, mixing old school Rock & Roll, Gothic Doom, Alternative and Metal with a tease of Trip Hop. Influences stem from bands like: Paradise Lost, The 69 Eyes, Charon, Icon & The Black Roses, Diminished 7, Fields of the Nephilim, The Sisters of Mercy, Moonspell, Poison Black, Lacrimas Profundere, Type O Negative, Sentenced, The Cult, Billy Idol, Portishead, Katatonia, The Foreshadowing, Swallow the Sun, among others. Back in December 2013 Amore Ad Lunam released their first full-length album title “Dark Romantic Era”, containing twelve successful songs hit after hit of pure breathtaking melodies and a dominant powerful sound. The album contains such titles as “Never Lasting Love”, “Raven”, “The Witness” & “Devil In Disguise”. The first promotional video for the single “The Witness” was released in early 2014 and a few months later released a lyric video for the second single “Raven” with great success causing a lot of noise from the fans singing along in the crowd. Amore Ad Lunam started when multi – instrumentalist, lead singer and songwriter Malcolm Báez after a few Black Metal projects, decided to compose some Gothic Doom music influenced by bands such as Tristania, Theatre of Tragedy, and (Old) Lacrimas Profundere. In the failing process searching for a female vocalist, and musicians with the same interest, he decided to compose and play different instruments for other bands such as Grasgarben & Fuego Eterno (Psychedelic, Classic Rock / Trip Hop.), Senium (Atmospheric Funeral Doom) & In Emptiness (Symphonic Black Metal / DSBM.) In late 2007 he decides to become the lead singer for his music, and started to record the first demo as a one man project under the first band name “Noctem Aeternus” with a sound more Dark wave as “Diary Of Dreams” and Industrial Metal as “Rammstein”. The one-man project entered the studio on 2008 with musician and friend Juan Luis De Jesus, Lead Guitarist from “In Emptiness” but this time as a drummer. They recorded the first Gothic Rock Single (In) Sanity, that time by the band name “Amor E Morte”. Before opening the MySpace page, Malcolm decided finally to name the band “Amore Ad Lunam” as a reminding of the love to a woman, a mother, a sister or fiancé. Reuniting all those different aspects of loving and comparing the woman with the moon as a divinity, a supreme Goddess. At the same year second Single “Scary Sweet Girl” and 3rd “Only Seeking for You” were recorded. Soon after the songs were posted on MySpace, it received many good feedbacks from fans and other artists alike, William from “Opera Noire” and Sean Rose from “Icon & the Black Roses”. Immediately after a few months Malcolm met Melek Sierra (ex-guitarist from Megadriel, currently Death Legion vocals & guitarist), bassist, producer and sound engineer, thanks to a friend in common, now A.A.L would have the opportunity to start recording a full length in better quality, but the fact was, that Amore Ad Lunam wasn’t complete to perform live. All change that same year, when in late 2008 a close friend of Malcolm, singer and doomster brother Hector Rivera Diaz “Sullen” from the band Senium helped him find some live session members for the project: Orlando Lugo (Lead Guitarist), Alexis Rodriguez (Keyboards), Anthony Pagan (Bass Player) and Fernanda Mercy (Drummer). Amore Ad Lunam made his first act on February 14th 2009. Since that date A.A.L has become part of the Goth, Rock and Metal scene of the island. Supporting acts and sharing stage with many great bands from here and outsiders as “H.I.M”, “Clever Vicious Circle”, “Alcest”, and local bands such as “Drama Fa”, “Megadriel”, “La Otra Mitad” “Dantesco”, “Machete”, “Pacto de Sangre”, “Pandemik”, “Doomlord”, “Avatos”, “The Withering Beauty” and many others. On late 2009, Xavier Ortiz became part of the band with his great performance guitar playing method and presence. Carlos VH Santiago (Lead Guitar) and Roberth Torres (Drums) joined the band on 2010. Both who also studied music at the same college that Malcolm and Melek attended. Malcolm met them from the musician scene after talking and getting wasted on alcohol in the name of rock and roll music and women. Roberth Torres was well known on the local metal scene and played with bands such as “Massive Destruction” (Thrash) and “Ill” (Death Doom). After a few months he had to leave the band for personal reasons. After many shows Roberth was replace with current drummer Armando “Armani” Gonzales alias “Strong Hands”. After many great dates and tours played in the island from 2010 to 2012, They decided to take a break from the gigs and entered the studio to record their first EP title “Sweet Emptiness” the EP was practically finished but for some reasons they decided to go for the full length, keeping those tracks in the vault aside more than 350 compositions and songs from Mr. Baez the Apocalyptic Songwriting Machine. Actually Amore Ad Lunam is at the Studio recording a 2nd full length that will be title “White Wings, Raven Soul”. The album tells the stories from the road of a Jack N’ Coke low budget strip club addict, bad influence and biker who really knows where to find the fun in life. The first single for the new album is already recorded and mastered titled “I’m Inside You”. The promotional video of the single will start production in the month of December, and should be available for the fans in late January 2016. The video will be recorded in Puerto Rico.
