Kora Master Toumany Kouyate releases his first original album ; "Douwa Ke Jiamana Denouye" (translates "pray for our youth"). Surrounded by colleagues from around the world (Senegal, Guinea, Mali, United States and Canada), Toumany achieved to take traditional Senegalese music to the 21st Century, while expressing an overall message of hope, peace and happiness.

The language that Tpumany Kouyate used in creating this album is called Mandang.The Mandang languages are mutually intelligible dialects or languages in West Africa of the Mande family. Their best-known members are Bambara, the most widely spoken language in Mali; Mandinka, the main language of Gambia; Maninka or Malinké, a major language of Guinea; and Dyula, a trade language of the northern Ivory Coast and western Burkina Faso.
