"These are songs written from and for the heart." First came "Sundial Heart." Released in April of 2013, this 5-track EP sings the progression of heartbreak and longing, honestly honoring the deep emotion associated with such trial. Starting with the upbeat excitement of love, the first track "The Fire" contrasts with the broken grief of romantic loss of the last track, "Over." It's a short but sweetly sad memento. Its successor, "The Mountain," is an eclectic yet coherent storyteller of a record. Metaphorically documenting the change in seasons of life, this 10 track journey is a more intimate companion for those who know those changes well. Just catchy enough to be accessible, and just comprehensive enough for the well-versed listener, it's more epic at times and closer at others. "The Mountain" pushes the sonic range farther back and closer forward over the course of 10 tracks, and invites the heart to understand along.
