''Rohilla'' a Hospital Ship en route from Leith , Edinburgh to Dunkirk in October 1914. Her mission is to take aboard wounded Belgian and British soldiers, survivors of the first wave of battles of WW1. During a storm in The North Sea is wrecked on the treacherous rocks, close to Whitby Harbour. 85 die but 144 survive, due mainly to the combined efforts of local lifeboat crews and ordinary folk of Whitby who , with no regard for their own safety , joined in the three day rescue operation.

Richard Grainger has excelled himself once again. With some new songs such as the classic ''Rohilla and The Rock' where he shares the stage with upcoming folk artist Sara Dennis and the 'Hills Of Lancashire'' which is based on a letter from one of the survivors to some recently rewritten versions of 'My Love Is On Board' emotionally performed by Polly Buxton. Narrator Ivan Hall professionally provides the story outline while the album is complimented with appearances from Monkeys Fist ( Gale Force 9), Ramshackle Shantymen( Lower Lights) and traditional heroes 'Men Of Staithes' ( Pull For The Shore). This is an album which will fit comfortably alongside 'Eye Of The Wind' and serve as a lasting memorial to those lost and the gallant efforts of the lifeboat crews of RNLI.
