Artist Bio: Home: California Current Location: Washington How "Divide" was founded: Division between human tendencies and angelic formalities. Stories of my life, experiences, observations and how mankind and GOD have played a role on my mental. Personalities split from the fork in the road... Grew up with Rock music ranging from The Offspring, Blink-182, Metallica and System Of A Down and many others. First heard Rap at 8 but hadn't found interest in it during that time frame of my life. I wrote poetry in high school, which was fueled by the opposite sex's constant rejection through my adolescence. I gained more interest in mainstream Rap at age 16... until I accidentally discovered Underground Hip Hop (yes, accidentally) at 18 when a co-worker at a clothing store I worked at found a case of CD's left behind by a customer who never came to claim them. I decided to listen to a few of them one day, and that's how I discovered Eyedea (R.EYE.P) & Abilities and Immortal Technique. They completely changed my view of "Rap"... My musical aspect was widened from there on. I realized the difference between "Hip-Hop" and "Rap"; "Underground" and "Mainstream"; "Substance" and "Nonsense". I turned my poetry into lyrics and started my journey into music creation, while finding influences through personal experiences, others experiences/stories, romance, addictions, lust, politics, humanity, and world events. I create my own beats, lyrics and produce a sound that is truly unique. I'm influenced by all different types of music genre's but I can't be prejudice to one type of music and follow suit with the majorities style. I have to expand my mind to different arts of music across the whole spectrum, because in the end, its exactly that...an "Art". Based on that though I came to this simplistic philosophy for the "Hip-Hop/Rap" Genre: "A beat can sound HARD, but with WEAK lyrics that have no substance, or logic, the song becomes collage of NOISE..." We are all Implosive one way or another, regardless of what fuels the fuse thats been lit by provocation or an unknown antagonist.
