From my earliest memories of life on a working family farm in New England (a home built before the Civil War), I have been blessed with the chance to follow and perform my music around the world and across America.  In these travels the milestones of my life have always been pieces of music;  A soundtrack reminding me of people, places and events connected to my heart.   It’s impossible to hear a slightly out of tune piano, for instance, without immediately thinking of my Grandmother Jordan.  Her ability to mesmerize me as a boy by singing Streets of Laredo or reciting an epic poem of the western plains while accompanying herself on a keyboard was pure magic.  The spells she wove, the stories she told were part of the inspiration for this journey…    The songs of Rainbows and Red Sox are stories. One is about New England’s love affair with its baseball team. Another is of an out of work pilgrim’s personal sign from God. A happy wedding day, a barroom full of jilted men and a man who finds a woman who dances as badly as he does are just some more of the tales I have told in these tunes. Perhaps one of them will become a moment in the soundtrack of your life’s journey.
