简介
Quest of Quietude is the latest album by the Candlelight Guitarist (Bradley Powell). It's an all-instrumental musical journey on the theme of transition from heartfelt personal loss, through reflection, discovery, connecting with nature, and renewal. Mostly comprised of solo guitar pieces, the track "Canoe With You" (#8) features guest violinist Erika Walczak (Adele, Yanni, Rod Stewart, Michael Feinstein), in an tender instrumental duet with Brad. Two tracks, (#1) Quest of Quietude and (#17) Wonderato, are guitar trios performed by Brad. The album includes three short "Natureludes"--Brad's trademark nature sounds, which he recorded by his mountain home during the making of this album, which reflect the time, space, and inspiration giving birth to the music herein. The album cover art watercolor was painted by Brad's mother, Dorothy Powell, in 2006 (then age 85), specifically for this "Watercolor Odyssey" album series. She also painted the "Asters" watercolor used on the back cover of the physical CD.
