In the music scene you come across unique individuals. I’ve been blessed to meet a few. You also, however, have to wade through (as Fred G. Sanford would put it) “garbage, seaweed and dead fish”. Musicians trying too hard, trying too little, having too much pride or too little pride – is often the case. This is not the case for Gary Watts and the crew of Joe Byrd. Gary has been right in the ventricles of the heart of the best scene in music since Vienna in the 1780′s! California 1960′s has influenced us all, but not all of us have lived through it. If any one knows his stuff, it’s this man, and he has formed a quartet to deliver. Take my advice and cup your ears…..you NEED to hear Joe Byrd.
