The Angelic Host "Preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ through contemporary music". This is the ministry statement of The Angelic Host and Angelic Host Ministries.From the time of its inception in 1982, this group has been dedicated to bringng all who would listen into a closer worship experienced with GOD through the gift of contemporary music. Born out of a Bible study, the Angelic Host have ministered extensively throughout the North East U.S. in churches , coffee houses, nursing homes and even on subways of New York City. Ministry opportunities have also called the group to sing along with Valerie Boyd, Richard Smallwood, Alvin Slaughter and other gospel artist of renown. Founded by Robert I.M. Soverall, this group's sound is also heavily influenced by the hymns of the church. Their musical heritage, therefore , is balanced between the church's past and present musical tapestry. Robert Soverall, also knowns as "Bobby" presently serves as an Elder at the Hanson Place Church in Brooklyn, New York. In addition, he also serves the King as a musical director for integrity recording artist, Alvin SLaughter. Neda Bedeau, Clive Chang , Rhonda Cox, Keisha Martin, Mitch Martin and Latanya Straker round out the present group membership.
