The artist composed in many national styles - Romanian, Gypsy, Polish, Russian, Serbian, Latin American, Afghan, Ukrainian, Chinese and other styles of music. The alchemy of the creation of his music lies in the study of history and culture of different nations, many hours spent in music archives, countless meetings with people, frequent travels and numerous concerts and a keen interest in everyone and everything in the world. All of this mysteriously melts in the melody and harmony that thrills the hearts of millions of people. His beautiful melodies of incomparable purity and clarity seem to be hovering in the air, shedding silver light on the horizons of people's spiritual world, healing the soul and giving it wings to fly. Eugen Doga has charmed millions of people around the world with his music and continues to fascinate to this day. Eugen Doga writes music in all kinds of genres and styles, which makes him one of the most prolific and versatile composers. He has his own easily recognizable style. A creator of three ballets "Lucheaferul” (Luceafărul), “Venancia”, “Queen Margot”, the opera “Dialogues of Love”, more than 100 instrumental and choral works – symphonies, 6 quartets, “Requiem”, church music, and other, plus music for 13 plays, radio shows, more than 200 movies, more than 260 songs and romances, more than 70 waltzes; he is also the author of works for children, the music for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games in 1980 in Moscow. The waltz written for the movie “A Hunting Accident “, became widely known and was performed at the opening of two Olympic Games – in 1980 and 2014. He had a non-stop active concert and social life, created in Chisinau the Music salon “Eugen Doga”, which goal was to unite people through art and communication. He received the following awards: People's Artist of the USSR, a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, Commendatore “Stars of Romania”, the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland”, the Order “Danaker”, among others. Academician of several academies. About his 8 books were written and 6 movies made, among television programs. Two waltzes by Eugen Doga are included in the top 200 best classical works of all time.
