Dalekko is a Czech independent pop rock band, with bit of electronica and Czech lyrics. The band was founded in 2013 originally as two-men studio project consisting of sound engineer Džian Baban aka dB and a singer, guitarist and car racer Pavel Sajner aka Sajny. On their debut EP, self-released in 2013, they were exploring their sound and expression territory. A year later they release single Nechoďte ještě spát. DJs from Český Rozhlas - Radio Wave played it in their Starter show. The song fought to the finals in the chart. Czech independent station Radio 1 also played the song. In January 2015 dalekko are self-releasing their debut album Neběžel jsem tudy? The album is produced by dB, co-produced by Sajny and a British musician and producer Peter J. Charlton, who mastered the album, too. Many guests appear on the album. The debut was acclaimed by critics (Radio Wave, Respekt, Lidové Noviny, Česká televize, kult.mix, Headliner and others) In spring 2015 Dalekko introduced the debut live for the first time. The band members, besides dB and Sajny, are: the drummer Filip Hisem, who was collaborating on the album already, guitar player Jan Prucek and bass player Jan Patka. In the rest of the year dalekko played more than 20 gigs, including summer festivals United Islands of Prague, Bažant Pohoda in Trenčín, Slovakia or Concert for Bohemian Forest. Dalekko also supported American indie bands The Dodos and Radiation City on their Prague stops. At the end of 2015 the band was nominated for Vinyla music awards as the Discovery of the year. In January 2016 dalekko celebrated first year of their debut release with a new single Jet Lag, recorded with acoustic instruments and then they played an acoustic mini-tour in several cities.
