It is believed that the mentioning of the beliefs in the month of December, Hanukkah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa as in the title song, "It's December," has never been done before, and is a first. On all but his "Christmas in My San Francisco," Don has arranged the music, played every instrument, sang all the voices, and recorded/mixed what’s here. As unique as the overdubbing process is, in his last album, "He Hopes," Don sang a world record in a “chorus of one” harmonizing with himself 232 times on his "America the Beautiful. However, when he recently approached an organization with his rendition of Handel’s "Hallelujah Chorus" to establish a world record singing all 136 voices, he was turned down with the implication that it could not be proved unless there was their company employee being paid thousands, standing over watching and witnessing every move and every note Don was singing. In addition, the turn down was also based on the fact that he could not guarantee a number of records that would be sold. Rather questionable, he thought, and he decided to spread the word of his world record himself, believing in his heart that it is simple to prove, by merely showing each of the recorded tracks on the computer screen and sampling a few seconds of each; taking about 10 minutes or even less to prove. The added interest in the Hallelujah Chorus is that Don sang every part, soprano, alto, tenor and bass, which G. Handel composed in 1741, and was transposed to a key to fit his wide vocal range. In addition to the A cappella version presented here, although he believes the classical music buffs may hate him, Don has added instruments for a never before version of the "Hallelujah Chorus" that rocks. With his bass, guitar and trusty Korg keyboard playing trumpets, trombones, saxophones, organ, piano, strings, and what not, Don could only say that it would have been a lot easier and quicker with other musicians. Since the turn down, Don has decided to perhaps get a TV show producer interested in doing a story documenting the events and the “one man doing it all” aspect on a song with mass appeal of just how it is done.
