This song came to me while making the eight mile drive from Baldwin to Sparta, IL. I tried to keep the verses in my mind while scrambling to find paper once I got the car parked. I recorded the song the next week with longtime Gordons bassist Ross Sermons and Noah Gordon on drums. I added harmonica, Noah added harmony vocals.

While I give a nod to Tom Petty in my song description, Tom hasn't really been an influence. I was playing music similar to this by the time I was in high school, long before I'd heard of Tom. I've been infuenced by The Byrds and Bob Dylan
