Dave "Chicken Legs" Wilkinson is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer from Nottingham, UK. "String Chicken" is very much a solo project in that he played all instruments, wrote, produced, mixed and mastered the record himself. Featured guests are Northern Irish soul powerhouse Sinead Savage (vocals on I Ain't Begging) and talented multi-instrumentalist Caspar St. Charles (flute and sax on The Toilet Bowl.) Having formed respected Hammond groove combo Fast3 back in 2001 with his brother Phil Wilkinson, he then went on to start cult funk quartet Phat Fred with Fast3 drummer Caspar St. Charles. He has played with the likes of Brain Jackson (Gil Scott Heron), Charlie Wood, Hook Herrera, George Braith and has appeared at many major festivals including Montreux Jazz Festival (CH), Delhi Jazz Festival (India), Jazz a Vienne (F), Marciac Jazz Festival (F), Woodford Folk Festival (Australia), Heineken Jazzaldia (Spain), Blue Balls Festival (CH), Mare De Agosto Festival (Azore Islands) amongst many others. Wilkinson is also one third of Basque/French world music organ trio Elkano Browning Cream and composer, guitarist, vocalist and producer for Blues Rock duo King Pug (alongside long time firend and collaborator Caspar St. Charles.). Dave has recorded music for MTV, VH1, Audi, Volkswagon and many others and has a long standing career as an acoustic singer songwriter.
