I really didn't know how much I loved my rural mountain upbringing until well into my adult years. I truly believe that those who grew up with mountain surroundings developed a unique perspective on life itself. I'm not saying we are any better or worse that anyone who had a different childhood, just very unique. I have also found that going back to those surroundings as an adult, just seemed to energize my whole being. I love high mountain views, a misty morning sunrise, a tumbling stream, an autumn woodland, a fresh high-meadow snowfall, starry, starry nights, trees that are too big to reach around, the kindness in the eyes of an older, wiser person, kindness in the eyes of a child, and the undivided loyalty of my dog. To me, perfect art is found in nature created by the perfect artist and creator. That is what motivates me to write, sing and enjoy music. I hope you also find a personal expression of joy in my songs.
