Val Vignolli Val Vignolli was born on September 17, 1962, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since his very early Childhood he became interested in the magic of words and music. He grew up listening to his mother singing artists such as Dolores Duran, Ataulfo Alves, Carmen Miranda, and Elizabeth Cardoso. Later he came to know the world of samba and the rich stories of composers and artists such as Paulinho da Viola, Joao Nogueira, Dona Ivone Lara, Candeia, Nelson Sargento, Nelson Cavaquinho, Monarch, Geraldo Pereira, Silas de Oliveira, Paulo Cesar Pinheiro, among others. The sound of Bossa Nova with its dissonant chords, the always enchanted, as the Tropicalia movement, which built a psychedelic poetry and was rich in thematic lyrical dialogue. Samba has always been the backbone of Val’s artist's work in Rio, though always attentive to the rhythms that have come from all over the planet. In the late 80's, Vignolli spent a season close to the drums of Bahia, and this has permanently influenced the work of Val Vignolli. Painting with music, a more African pulsation. He met that same type of popping Musician Gilberto Gil Raimundo at his mother's house, in the neighborhood of Carf, becoming an even more ardent admirer of his idol. At the beginning of the decade of 1990, Val created the “Gang Gaia”. A Band that mixed various rhythms, but keeping a sound very unique to Brazil. He has Opened shows for Pepeu Gomes, Olodum, Martinho da Vila, Jorge Vercilo, Elza Soares, Ile Aiye, Cidade Negra. Along with the Flock Gaia, “gaia Gang” released the album “Let's Get out and shake!” After the dissolution of this band, he started to invest in a solo career, more parallel to the career of producer and playwright. Producing CDs of the following artists: Black (Edinho Oliveira), Cool Swing (Swing Cool) Cheeiro Land (Ode Amin Jose), Face / Off (Ines Santiago), Samba Rooster in the Hole (Varios) ... Besides being Meriti partner Sergio, Da Gama, Paulo Malaguti, Acir Marques Marquis de Oswaldo Cruz, Buziga, Maria CEIC, Edinho Oliveira, among others ... In 2008, he joined the wing of composers Portela, one of the most traditional samba schools of Rio de Janeiro.
