Lawrence Bishop and The Livestock Band, Live at the Ark, was recorded on one night in Wichita, Kansas, in 2007. Lawrence revisits songs from albums he recorded as solo efforts (Two Shades of Blue, Prayer Of A Bad Man) and from his collaboration in his early band, Two Hippies and a Cowboy. With a line up of Lawrence Bishop on lead vocals and bass guitar, longtime band mate Billy Price on guitar, keys, and harmonies, it also contains Scotty Bratcher on guitar, Jeff Wright on guitar, and drummer Aaron Mumma, as this night's live band. The extra studio cuts are of material that Lawrence Bishop and other musicians, including Billy Price, Johnny Cox, Jason Lewis, and others, recorded over the years for everything from theme music for television shows, movie soundtracks, and other songs that were recorded and might never have been compiled together, but were perfect as bonus tracks on this live effort and give a perspective of the versatility and talent of Lawrence Bishop and the Livestock Band. Lawrence also adds hilarious, commentary in between the studio bonus tracks that is sure to make this recording completely entertaining!
