The April Family – third single release sheet The April Family will release their third single, “Patsy Cline Times Two” on January 14, 2017. The single will be the follow up to their second single “You’re Someone That I Never Knew” which made a top 10 appearance in various radio charts, and their debut “1943”, which reached #2 on the iTunes Country Chart. Both tracks received excellent airplay all around the country, and on the Country Music Channel. “Patsy Cline Times Two” is a classic, old school country track, with beautiful country guitar, haunting pedal steel and the ensemble’s signature 3 part harmonies supporting singer Kylie Whitney’s distinct and tradition country vocal style, telling the story of “the sadness at the end of a relationship, when you split up your possessions, your emotions and your memories”. The new Alternative Country combo from Sydney features highly acclaimed vocalist Kylie Whitney, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Casey Atkins (Shane Nicholson, Perry Keyes, Adam Young, The Cuban Heels among others), and multi-instrumentalist Michael Carpenter (solo artist, Shane Nicholson, Bob Corbett Band, Sara Storer, Audrey Auld and many others). The band’s sound is described as ‘Fleetwood Mac meets the Dixie Chicks’. In other words, 'organic and authentic country music, with a lean towards classic West Coast American sounds.’ The new single was written by guitarist Atkins and singer Whitney, and is taken from the band’s debut album “What We Know Now”, which will be released in April 2017. The band will be making its first appearances at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January, as well as having tours and festival appearances lined up throughout the year. “Patsy Cline Times Two” is released on January 14, 2017 internationally on iTunes and other digital platforms.
