. . . and along comes a STARR The music scene in Baltimore continues to take shape. Determined to be a part of that scene is Songwriter Starr Wyatt. Her writing style includes Gospel and R&B. She is also working on a Gospel stage play. Her lyrical messages are full, meaningful and clear. Starr feels she can write any genre of music and has tried her hand at a Jingle, Rap and even Country. “I might try to do something with it one day” she laughs. My Inspiration is just a sampler of her powerful lyrical style. It also showcases some of Baltimore’s vocal talent who are featured on this project. Recording Artist Fernando Moore adds his smooth style performing “I Won’t” and “Your Love”. Recording Artist Una Barry adds her rich, soulful voice to the powerful wedding song, “This Union”. “Rumor Has It” is performed and co-written by new Artist L. Monet’. Her strong vocals, energy and style help to make this a standout hit. “This song doesn’t begin to show the range in her young voice. I’ve heard her sing Jennifer Holliday and she handled it”. Vocalist Kenya Blake performs “Star” a song written for the American Idol songwriting competition. Her sweet sound adds the depth to the song Starr had envisioned. Once you’ve heard it you will wonder why it was not selected as one of the twenty songs to be voted on for the American Idol finale. These songs have been brought to life through an array of soulful voices, producers, engineers and musicians including, Uriah Moore, Fernando Moore and Osei Moreland. Starr strongly believes that you can do just about anything in life you want when you finally put your mind to it. “Just trust God and do it” she says. She has a creative spirit that is unstoppable.
