简介
We've all heard the stories of aspiring director's using their credit cards to make a feature film on spec. But no one in the history of film and television has ever made a speculative Christmas special, until now! It was a cold winter's night when Wendell Ferguson and the members of his band, “The Smoking Section”, celebrated Christmas by performing at the festively decked out Hugh’s Room in Toronto, Canada. In front of a full house, five video cameras, and three nuns, Wendell performed a series of soon to be seasonal delete bin favourites like, “Jesus Christ! It’s Your Birthday Again”, “Santa’s Dead”, “Another White Trash Christmas”, and “Why Does Every Christmas Song Have So Many Chords?" Reaction after the show was as swift as Santa’s sleigh, “It was a fun, fun, surreal well-lit kinda night”, “I laughed my head and lips off”, “Can’t wait for the DVD/CD, I’ve got many friends I’d like to inflict them on”. Well, the wait is over! "Wendell Ferguson's Cranky Christmas" is the live soundtrack recording from the award winning made-for-TV special. And since Christmas time is a time for giving, please "forgive" us for giving Wendell yet another platform to offend people in classic Wendell style. Winner: 2010 New York International Independent Film Festival, “BEST INTERNATIONAL MUSICAL SHORT” 2010 Houston International Film Festival, “PLATINUM REMI AWARD for “MUSIC PRODUCTION: SPECIAL/SHOW” “Wendell Ferguson shouldn’t be missed, he should be hit!”
