But, recording a nice tale doesn’t cut it anymore. Being a storyteller with no heart and no foundation to the lyrics that you speak can send a message to the listening audience that says as an artist, you are only in it for the fame and fortune, but not to represent those in the struggle of the everyday realities of those seated in the enormous classroom of the school of hard knocks Born J. Thomas a Macon Georgia native, He grew up in a typical middleclass home stricken with a single parent in the environment of the South. The baby of one sibling raised in Middle Georgia where there wasn’t a lot to do. At the age of eleven he was introduced to his first real love, rap music. At the age of 16 he began recording using computer and electronic devices. During his last years in high school and through his close encounters with the law , TeyD quickly learned that life is what you make it and he also learned a lot about himself. His dream of taking the hip hop world by storm began to take shape when he left to attend college at Savannah State 2 years ago when he met an artist/producer by the name of Jarrell Lakeith Mattox. Jarrell gave him the chance to record a track for one of his upcoming mix tapes. He wasted no time and was in the studio immediately. After the big success of the song entitled “Swang on Me H*O in which Mr. Mattox featured TreyD on, he was given the opportunity to record whenever he wanted to(free original instrumentals included), free of charge in mr. Mattox’s studio . During that time he spent many hours in the studio grinding, making hit after hit while still maintaining good grades in school. He has completed one mixtape which is named “Get Money Da Mixtape” which consists of seventeen songs which is in the process of being properly distributed. Upon completing the mix tape he started recording songs for the next one. He plans to give the rap music world something to contend with and the audience what it deserves which is versatility and style. Rhyming since elementary school the Macon, Ga. Native’s faith and motivation is to represent the world as he sees it. Through professional drum panelings and trunk beating bass, he aims to keep it true while keeping the fans on the edges of their seats. TreyD is considered a natural star is becoming the leader of the new movement of music coming from middle GA. This new sound is full of excitement and emotion as soon as you hear his smooth, rhythmic voice firing at you.
