I'm excited to announce the launch of my new single "(Dance) To the Beat" available worldwide. This song is the first song from my new EP "The Dragonfly and the Spider" produced by JP Maurice at Blue Light Studio. I'm so grateful to have worked with JP on this recording as he and I are able to communicate with our shared love of the The Beatles and The Beach Boys in musical references. The song was mixed by my long time friend Winston Hauschild who I have loved since forever and is another Beatles guru. Lastly the song was mastered by Jason Corbett from Jacknife Sound and I'm so happy that he was involved in the process because he has been a shoulder to hold on to for me many times and has been a mentor and beautiful friend for ever. Artwork is by Matt Laforest at Laforest Creative. And it's amazing! I couldn't have done it without you! The process of writing and recording these songs became like therapy for me. The thing with grief is that it's carried with you forever. The weight gets lighter when you have family and friends to pull you out and show you a path to follow until you're able to walk on your own. That's what Nick Petro, JP, and all my pals who sang on this record added: therapy and strength. I am dedicating this recording to my dearest sister Beth Ann and mom Laurie Zylstra who we lost to Cancer in February 2016 and May 2017 respectively.
