简介
Florian was a Swedish indie band from Stockholm, named after Kraftwerk frontman Florian Schneider. Singer and front person for the nine-piece band was the current journalist Märta Myrstener. Much of the attention the band received was because the members were so young. They were compared often with twee bands like Belle and Sebastian and Edson. The band debuted in 2001 with a self titled vinyl single, released at the Stockholm-based label Fabulous Friends. The album consisted of songs "No One Goes for the Most Clever Girl in Class" and "Slap Me When You Believe I Will Have It." The album was recorded at Södra Latins gymnasium and 500 copies were printed. The debut album Florianópolis was released in 2003. Several of Florian's members are or were involved in various side projects, such as lo-fi synth band Origo, pop collective Kissing Mirrors, post rock band Wines, techno duo The Rice Twins and Nova Drougges pop project Nottee.
