Xamar is a band from New York that is looking to shake up the often dull, soulless, and repetitive world of extreme metal. Furious blast beats and chaotic guitar work will please death metal and grindcore fans, yet Xamar will often take you places you wouldn't expect in their songs. There are no cookie monster vocals or pig squeals here. In their place are soul cleansing screams that are often permeated by strange clean vocal passages. The album seems to be concept album revolving around economic inequality across the world. For such a heavy band, they have a sense of melody that is very refreshing and unexpected. You can tell they were influenced by bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan and Today is The Day.
