Cupid's Got a 44 is actually something that I truly feel was gifted to me. I heard the title in my head one day and I knew it was a song that I had to write. The piano line was the first thing I ever played on a piano as a kid... Mind you, I didn't learn how to play piano until I got to high school lol. But I always remembered the beginning of the song. Originally, it was supposed to be a very gritty somber song but overtime, the more I edited it, I realized it needed more. What people don't see is all the work that goes in to creating a song that only lasts for 3 or 4 minutes. Hint...try 3 or 4 years of editing! However, I like to think that even though my songs take time, I create songs that can stand the test of time. "Cupid" can't be dated because of the use of natural instruments and the feeling behind it all. I was lucky enough to have Yamaha performing Cellist, Yoed Nir replay the strings for me, which was amazing! It was the first time I'd ever heard live strings on my music..I was ecstatic! Now, my next goal is to hear it played live by an entire orchestra in a live performance! Can't wait! There is much more great music to come so please follow me and listen! Thank you!
