Times Up! is written by Jonathan Heap & Philip Morton, long time collaborators and creators in film and television. Jonathan Heap is an Academy Award nominated director. Philip Morton has written screenplays for the Hollywood studios for two decades. The two friends started their creative partnership in college and amazingly they are still talking. Jonathan's film company had hired Emmy Award winning composer Boris Zelkin to score two of his films. When Jonathan had the idea to poke fun at the media lunacy surrounding the end of the Mayan Calendar on 12/21/12, and the supposed end of the world, he wrote lyrics with Morton and shot video from cities around the world with news reports and approached Boris to compose the song. Artist Daniel Tatar lends the pitch perfect Broadway lead vocal sound, creating an upbeat happy and triumphant take on the end of everything. Relentlessly funny, you will laugh every time you play it, until, say Heap & Morton, the real world does actually end which they are hoping takes quite a long time.
