Destined. If you needed one word to describe Omikron, that is what it would be. After hearing his smart lyrics, skilled delivery, and unmistakable beat production, combined with the knowledge that he puts it all together under his own banner of Dragonfire Entertainment, it is the only word that you need. Destined. For notice, growth, and definitely for success. After a life of ups, downs, and drama at every turn, it isn't suprising that his music touches a chord with all who hear it, in one way or another. Born in 1981, and raised in New Jersey, the hip-hop culture surrounded Omikron right from the start. With his ear glued to such legends as Rakim, LL Cool J, Dr.Dre, and the Wu-Tang Clan, he began writing from inspiration at an early age. Due to Kron's knack for finding trouble at that time, he was often confined in his room leaving plenty of time to explore his own methods of making music. By age 13 he had recorded three low-quality tapes with little to no help at all. In 1993 Omikron, then known by his nickname Stix, formed The Assassins with his longtime friend Big Daddy D. The Assassins only made on tape before going their seperate ways, leaving Omikron again writing and producing his own material. During his high school years he became part of a few different groups, but none of the projects produced any solid material. After a long list of dramatic events and a major falling out with associates and friends, Omikron met an emcee by the name of Calaber. The two vibed instantly and ended up collaborating on an album called "No More Games". The album was released locally in 2003 under Omikron's company Dragonfire Productions and had suprising success for an indie release with zero press. It was the first solid release by both aritsts. After "No More Games" the two formed the group Loose Cannons with other area emcees and immediately put together a Loose Cannons mix tape. The mix tape was released under Calaber's company Crooked Youth Entertainment in 2005 and did very well on the streets. The tape featured many tracks produced and/or featuring Omikron. At about the same time the mix tape hit the streets, Omikron suprised everyone by moving from New Jersey to Florida in order to expand and re-invent his own Dragonfire Productions. Before leaving, he recorded over half of his 2006 solo album "The Storm of the Dragon" and finished it after the move. The soon to be released LP is also the first release on his new label Dragonfire Entertainment. The album displays Omikron's growth as a lyricist, producer, and overall visionary. Songs like "Here It Goes" show his poetic lyrical skill, while "3 New Messages" captures the imagination and takes you through an intense story as if you were visually viewing it. "The Unknown" is undoubtedly a future crowd hit with it's anthem type chorus and catchy lyrics. The track "The Calm of the Storm" provides a strong message about the modern world without a single lyric, and paves the way for Kron's next LP "The Crusade" (due late 2006-early 2007).
