Hot and Awkward resides in Anchorage, and Seldovia, AK. They have been traveling the local basement circuit and hail from all parts of the country (Georgia, Maine, Alaska, Colorado and Minnesota). Their arrangement includes a combination of folk, bluegrass, southern rock, Celtic, indie rock, Bob Dylan, boy band and a healthy smothering of awkwardness. He is one of the finest bass players in his circle of friends and also holds the official title of band manager. He is single as they come and has longer hair than most men. Caleb Billmeier (Vocals, Mandolin, Guitar, Harmonica) began his life in Vermont, but spent most of it in Yarmouth, Maine. He tells people that he plays the guitar and mandolin, but in his spare time is an above average athlete. He has an evolving afro and does not have running water. Matt Williams (Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin) calls the north woods of Minnesota place of origin. He is known amongst his friends at 'Crusher' for a variety of reasons. He attempts to play the guitar and mandolin. He owns 4 full length snowmobile suits and his dad is a way better musician than he is. Loy Donaldson (Vocals, Percussion) has raged his whole life in Anchorage. He is married, wears kilts and swears a lot. He is the percussionist and the heart beat of not only the band, but woman over the age of 25 everywhere. He lifts, he rains, he is! Lydia Lantz (Vocals, Electric Guitar, Ukulele) originally from Colorado joined Hot & Awkward in the fall of 2012. Her intense guitar riffs makes her a fan favorite of every person that comes to watch the band. She is very strong. She also is the only woman in the group and manages the awkward part of the band.
