James O-L is a folk-singer whose modern approach to roots music combines a punk rock spirit with traditional melody. His upcoming record, For The World Is Hollow And I Have Touched The Sky, is his most ambitious project to date. To achieve an organic sound, James gathered a large ensemble of musicians focusing on acoustic instruments to flesh out his folk ballads. James began playing music in the fertile underground music scene of his hometown, Windsor, ON. Eventually needing an outlet to release music inspired by the folk and country songs of his youth, James started independently performing as James O-L. He released two solo albums before forming the roots rock band, James O-L and the Villains. The chemistry of their live performances led them to tour Canada, release two albums, and perform with some of Canada's best touring acts. This year will see the release of James' third solo album. A 7" vinyl for the single, Sk8 or Die, will accompany the released of James' new solo record on October 10th.
