For Sorcery Record's next release we are pleased to present Never Knew from Adelaide Carleton, with remixes by Arclight, Marvel Child and Eonic. The Original Mix uses plucky synth sounds over a deep rhythmic bass. Vocoded vocals and chops contrast with atmospheric piano sounds in the breakdowns creating tension in this Trance track which Adelaide skilfully keeps in balance and motion. We like this track. The first remix by Arclight has a deeper, darker,techy progressive feel with powerful bassline, kicks and hints of electro, where the only relief to this hard edge is when Arclight uses bell sounds in the breakdown before the driving bass line kicks back in. This is a remix with attitude. The second remix comes from Marvel Child and has a more progressive vibe. Still featuring a driving bass and kicks, Marvel Child plays with the rhythms of the track and uses pitch distortion, risers and electro sounds punctuated by stabs and balanced against the vocal, all building into the final section with a pitch riser and drum roll. This is something different for the Dance floor. The final Trance style remix by Eonic has a harder techy/electro feel where the full vocal phrase is used in contrast with deep bass riffs. Eonic cleverly drops all sounds in the breakdown but keeps the edge by using saw sounds as the track quickly gathers pace with detuned synths, pitch risers and those bass riffs.
