Bad Daddy is a five-piece Rock ‘n Boogie band formed in 2005. They have been gigging, writing, and recording ever since. Their songwriting prowess has garnered them songwriting credits in Film and TV, a first-place finish in the Great American Song Contest, and several other top-10 placements in The Billboard Song Contest and The International Songwriting Contest. Members Bruce Marelich (lead guitar/vocals) and Mark Lightcap (guitar/vocals) played in the iconic San Francisco Bay Area band, Uther Pendragon, back in the 60's-70's. In early 2016 Guerssen Records released a re-mastered triple vinyl LP of Uther Pendragon songs. The album can be purchased at many locations including Amazon and iTunes, and is listed on Guerssen’s website http://www.guerssen.com/bestSellers.php in their “best sellers” category. Lightcap and Marelich played during a time that featured such musical greats as Carlos Santana, Jimmy Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. Amazingly, Uther Pendragon was recording a 4-song demo at Pacific Recording Studio at the same time Santana was recording their Abraxas album. Multitalented Cole Spohr has been with the band since its inception. Playing a multitude of instruments, and with an incredible baritone voice he brings a refreshing versatility to the band. Vinnie Carini is much more than Bad Daddy’s drummer. Vinnie has an extraordinary vocal range and brings these talents to the group. He has been in many area bands throughout the years including the Mill Creek Blues Band. When bass player extraordinaire Scott Hilke joined the band, he brought the group an unparalleled excellence on that instrument. Scott has been in several area bands and also plays with Jonathan Arthur in The Karma Kings. Bad Daddy released their debut album, VINTAGE, in 2012. Their follow-up album, STILL ROCKIN’ THE WORLD has been released, June 2017.
