简介
Growing up in a country where war and hatred never stopped. I was a little boy with big dreams and expectations. I always loved dancing. It made me feel like I had a life away from all the bad things that was going on around me. My name is Togar E. Howard aka (Mr. Basima Basima) and this is my autobiography of how I started dancing and then after hooking up with a powerful Entertainment team called PIFF Entertainment/Media Group. My dreams of becoming an Afro-pop artist lead me on this journey. I was born on May 5, 1992, In Lofa County, Liberia, Africa. When I was a little boy my mom used to make these songs up and sing them to me and I used to dance all the time. When I was around 6 my family moved to Ivory Coast and that’s where my journey really began. I started going out on the streets with other kids and started dancing in little street competitions. I was really getting into it and started loving every moment of entertaining people and winning the competitions. I kept dancing more and more and as I danced many people started to gain notice. By God’s grace as time went by I Started dancing randomly at party’s cookouts, etc. It came to a moment in my heart when I felt like I still had to better myself as a dancer. I sat before You Tube each and every day watching and practicing different types of dances. It was interesting knowing that I was able to mix up break dance with decale coupe, which was the dance I was originally used to. I started making myself more original instead of copying what everybody else was doing. Being an outstanding African dancer, I knew that incorporating different types of dances in what I already knew would make me greater. I started learning dance hall, reggae and even hip hop dances. I later joined a hip hop dance crew located in Providence, RI, So that I can learn from other amazing dancers. That made me realize that all cultures in dancing are mostly the same, but they just used in different ways of body movements. While doing that I became a Choreographer and a back up dancer for some local acts in the city. I was inspired by my mother, usher, and phalli Ipupa. Becoming a great entertainer is something that grows bigger and bigger in me. Entertaining is what I was born for, I know this because I feel it in my soul every time I hit a stage to perform. I met the CEO of PIFF Entertainment Andrew Samuka through a friend. I told him this is what I want to do I want to expand my career not only as a dancer but an artist. I remember his first question to me was “Are you sure you ready” “I thought to myself well yeah what does he mean am I ready.” After talks with him and his PIFF team and a number of meetings. I was assigned a personal manager and a road manager to assist me in understanding the game and what it will take for me to succeed and accomplish this dream of mines. The chemistry was great I became not just Togar the artist but, Togar the little brother, we are a strong and hard working family. I love my team and appreciate them for all they do, they lose many nights of sleep and sacrifice so much for me and this is just the beginning ...... LIBERIA I’m going to make you proud.
