"Hard for to Love" is a collection of some favorite songs Sarah and Thomas have learned from friends, family members, mentors, and old recordings. Each of these songs share a story related to the theme of love. The album features Sarah Wood. banjo; Thomas Albert, guitar; Ruth McLain, upright bass; Jesse Wells, fiddle; and Ross Whitaker, pedal steel guitar. The project was recorded by Jesse Wells at The Kentucky Center for Traditional Music in Morehead, Kentucky.

Many styles of traditional music are presented in this album including Old Time, Bluegrass, Country, Celtic, and Western Swing. The duo has developed original arrangements that showcase their unique sound and instrumentation. With distinct voices, Sarah and Thomas create a powerful synergy while retaining their individual qualities.
