For our first release of 2013 we are honoured to welcome a great production duo on board at Click Therapy. Rob Pearson & Barry Obzee supply the goods this time around with The Man Behind The Curtain, this release really is starting the year as we mean to go on. Two mixes from Rob and Barry both lovely slabs of tech-house tackle. With a slick remix from Click Therapy main man Lee Guthrie under his Digital Dirt guise to round things off nicely. Rob Pearson's dedication and contribution to the UK's underground House scene is beyond question. Since the early 90's, from his South London base (www.onlinestudios.co.uk) Rob has been responsible for helping to shape the Tech House sound synonymous with the capital. His productions have been released on genre-defining labels such as Plastic City, Reverberations and Swag Records, as well as his own long-running Evasive Records and it's sub variants. Rob's own record bag is well travelled with regular London gigs in pretty much every venue of note, and trips further afield around the UK, to Europe and the USA, including the Miami Winter Music Conference. Whether headlining or supporting DJs like Danny Rampling, Paul Woolford, Yousef and Terry Francis, his sets are always eagerly anticipated. Barry Obzee started DJ'ing back in the late 80's under the alias of Iceman and was soon a regular DJ for all those underground events and hippy festivals that sprung up around the UK including the infamous Castlemorton Common party that lasted a week and led to a change in the law. He then took his hand to production and was instantly signed to the Production House records under the names X-Static & E-Type working alongside the likes of Baby D, Acen and the House Crew releasing the club smash 'Free' and winning record of the week on both Kiss 100 and Radio 1. This led to numerous residencies around the country and a regular radio show on Life FM. The last 10 years has seen him as a regular fixture in the heart of London in clubs such as Ministry of Sound and numerous West End clubs and bars such as Bar Soho, Abigails Party, Revolution Bars and Jewel Piccadilly/Covent Garden where he held a weekly residency for over 6 years. DJing alongside House Legends such as Joey Negro, Alistair Whitehead, CJ Mackintosh and Norman Jay has led to many dates overseas in Europe including Spain and Greece with residencies for El Divino, Limelite, Pacha and Funky Buddha. Rob and Barry released the stunning It's Just Like That EP on Wiggle during summer 2012 which drew support from Maceo Plex/Maetrik, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Slam, Brett Johnson, Stacey Pullen, Eddie Richards, Colin Dale, Mihalis Safras and many more, they have more releases in the pipeline for 2013 so keep your ears peeled....... Lee Guthrie has continued to grace some great labels with his latest productions under his own name and his Digital Dirt moniker, making the Top 100 on Beatport and Stompy last year, on labels including Wiggle, Is This, Rob's Evasive imprint, Bounce House and many more. Lee is currently working on an EP for the launch of Liverpool's Something Different Records' sister label Something Different Again due to get going around Spring. Lee's work continues to receive support from some of the underground scene's finest including Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Marco Carola, Paco Osuna, Layo & Bushwacka, Stacey Pullen, Maceo Plex, Nathan Coles, Slam, Terry Francis, X-Press2 and many many more.
