John (João Ruas) is a Songwriter from Portugal (Lisbon) born in 1983 . The youngest brother in his family . ​ All started with twelve years old listening to his father LP records, and playing with a guitar (without knowing how to play) in his grandparents house. John Loves all instruments , acoustic guitar (his favourite), sax and piano . Since young age he started to composing music. At the age of seventeen he made his first song , without knowing the name of the chords . ​ Paulo Muiños (Portuguese SAX player) had a big roll . He had a studio and taught joao some sax classes and some Blues Guitar arrangements. The first records were made at Paulo studio, his first songs were record by Paulo Ramos (run johny ,run), Patricias SA (wedding song of his dear sister, kiss me till the end) , and another great singers. At the age of twenty eight he moved to Brasil, Rio de Janeiro where he met Pedro Branco the lead vocals of a known Portuguese band (Pedro e os Apóstolos) . Pedro invited John to visit his guitar player and Producer. The great Alexandre Reis (Alexandre Meu Rei) . The first song that john made in Rio was with pedro (All we Ever Wanted) he also made the Harmonic arrangements in the intro of "Feels Like Crazy" , Johns first vocal record. Since the first record of Pedro and John , Alexandre started to be his only Producer and Lead guitarist . His amazing skills transcend john music to another level. He advises in lyrics, guitar and sings along john . ​ In his first videoclip he got together some of his best friends as actors. ​ Diogo Anjos , Diogo Vasques and Nuno Nicola were very important on john music. Best friends listening to his sketches. Diogo Anjos always been the "manager" of John. Always going with him to the record studio . Diogo Vasques and Nuno Nicola has been for a long time , big supporters ,trying to get john record some songs and giving him the enthusiasm to create the album . Many thanks for these BIG friends.
