After graduating from the rave scene, Scaffolding begins to gravitate toward the "edgier" electronic genres, finding a vast source of inspiration within the IDM scene. After six years of electronic music production, Scaffolding releases "Field of Opposites" with Nobot Media, a Colorado-based label. In "Field of Opposites", Scaffolding employs simple, drawn out melodies which ride on top of complex drum programming. While the CD touches down on many styles, tempos, and moods, overall it remains contemplative, caught between a nostalgic past, and a hopeful future.
