简介
Redgrave Jones has devoted a majority of her life to making music and art, living something of the life of a gypsy. Restless by nature, she’s lived in many different cities and has thrived in a variety of creative circles, weaving in and out of various mediums of expression. She has ceaselessly created, writing songs, poetry, singing with jazz ensembles and blues bands, rock bands, metal bands and everything in between. She even dedicated a number of years to singing bel canto opera. Redgrave is always stretching, searching and working at finding deeper and more effective ways to use her voice and her music to communicate. That’s what it’s all about for her - communication. Over the years she continued to gather inspiration from new sources and forgotten old sources, patiently waiting for the right time to share her music. She has always known that the time would come to channel the work she’s done over the years into something tangible and powerful. A piece of work so significant, that it would be demand to be heard. Luckiest Girl In The World, Redgrave’s debut EP is just that. A life’s work and also the fiercest of beginnings. Her music is unapologetic and raw, with big beats, crunchy guitars and synths. She pulls significant influence from Nine Inch Nails, PJ Harvey, and Billie Holiday, though her sound is quite incomparable. The EP was recorded and mixed in Los Angeles, with producer Jason Lowrie, features Anthony Burulich (The Bravery) on the drums and was mastered by Henke Jonsson ( Lykke Li, Chrissie Hynde) at Masters of Audio in Sweden.
