Adam Trumbo is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is best known as a founding member of indie rock band Garland Buckeye, with whom he has recorded five full studio albums, as well as three EPs. Both in the studio and during live performances, Trumbo has consistently been accompanied by Shawn Pantaliono on drums. Influenced by rock ‘n’ roll artists of varying approaches, Trumbo has been writing songs his entire life and performing and recording them professionally since 1992. Starting out with Carousel (1992-1995) and Salsa Sharks (1995-1997), Trumbo formed Garland Buckeye with Pantaliono, who had been the drummer in both Carousel and Salsa Sharks, as well. With studio contributions from Urban Shocker (Geoffrey Trumbo), Kristen Thomas, Timothy Sirles, Lyndon Jones, Bill Santen, Joshua L. Weill and Warren Byrom, a 24-song debut album (Never Your Fable Caster) was recorded and released in 1998. Songwriter/guitarist/vocalist Brad Gordon then joined following the recording of the first record, and Urban Shocker remained with the band as bassist to complete the live unit. This lineup continued until the fall of 1999 when Shocker left the band. Instead of replacing Shocker, the band forged on as a three-piece, with both Trumbo and Gordon sharing duties on guitar, bass, lead vocals and songwriting. A sophomore album, More Seas Than Before, was recorded by Otto Helmuth (The Blueberries, Slo-Fi) in Lexington and mixed/mastered by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Screaming Trees, etc.) in Seattle. While on tour in 2001 to release the new album, the events of 9/11 interrupted the tour, including a show in New York City that had been planned for that same fateful day. The same trio then recorded 2005 releases On Burgin Hill and The Approximation E.P. with Seattle engineer Steve Jones (Ancient Warlocks) and again mixed and mastered in Seattle with the legendary Jack Endino. Picking up new bass player, Jeff Tracy, two experimental EPs (The Be Traditional E.P. in 2008 and Winning Cause in 2009) followed, with two more full lengths after that (A Love Cycle in 2010 and Built To Fly Like Rockets in 2013). In 2015, Brad Gordon recorded and released The Loaded Dream, while Trumbo worked on his first solo release, Ten Years of Wonder, which was mastered by Brian Pulito at Lexington’s Nitrosonic Studio and was released on 1/8/16.
