ANTON MILLER, VIOLIN Since giving his Carnegie Hall concerto debut in 1992 with the New Chamber Orchestra of New York, American violinist Anton Miller has appeared throughout the United States as concerto soloist, chamber musicians, recitalist and pedagogue. Internationally, Mr. Miller has made several trips to Brazil and China to tour Tchaikovsky, Sibelius and Brahms Concertos with the Orchestra Sinfonica de Campinas, and the China Central Philharmonic as well as recital tours in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England and China. He has released CD recordings on the Hugo, Preiser and Klavier labels. Mr. Miller has been on the faculty of Oberlin Conservatory and is currently on the faculties of Lawrence University and New York University. During the summer he has taught at Aria International, Musicorda, Killington, Hot Springs Music Festival and New Arts Festival. Mr. Miller is on the board of directors of the International Concert Alliance. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Indiana University as a Performer's Certificate student of Franco Gulli. He completed his Master of Music degree at the Juilliard School as a scholarship student of Dorothy DeLay and coached chamber music with Feliix Galimir. Anton plays on a Nicolo Gagliano violin, c.1780. BRANDT FREDRIKSEN, PIANO Pianist Brandt Fredriksen enjoys a highly versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician and teacher. He has performed solo recitals throughout the United States and Canada, as well as in Europe, China, and the Caribbean. These performances include impressive debuts at Weill Hall at New York's Carnegie Hall and the Gasteig Cultural Center in Munich. An active chamber musician and highly sought after as a teacher- he has been on the piano faculties of Lawrence University, Manhattan School of Music and Kent State University. He has given master classes at universities and conservatories throughout the United States, Europe and China, where he is Artistic Director of East West Corridor Communications. Mr. Fredriksen has recorded a wide variety of repertoire for compact disc, and has been heard frequently on radio and television including appearances on National Public Radio, WQXR-FM with Robert Sherman, Greek National Television and Radio, and China Television. Mr. Fredriksen is the Founder and Executive Director of the Silver Bay Summer Music Festival. Mr. Fredriksen received his Bachelor of Music degree from Indiana University, the Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from State University of New York at Sony Brook.
