简介
Breaching Vista’s 2011 sophomore release “Vera City,” (Produced by JUNO Award winning Producer/Engineer, Siegfried Meier) was met with great acclaim, and its first single “Sleep” charted for 24 weeks on Canadian Active Rock radio. BV supported the release with spring, summer, and fall tour dates throughout Ontario, including festival stops at Canadian Music Fest, The Vans Warped Tour (Toronto), Burlington's Sound of Music Festival, and Sudbury Summerfest. The release of Vera City landed the band a cover story with ECHO Magazine, and Velvet Rope Magazine listed Vera City in the Top Ten Indie Albums of 2011. They also appeared in a CBC television commercial with an invite to perform the VIP party at the Gemini Awards, and CBC quoting online “These guys are gonna go somewhere!” Fan favorite song “Nervous” quickly became their number one requested song live, and made Top 5 on ExploreMusic.com’s “The List”. Musical subtleties provide depth to the album, including the work of world class Cellist Kevin Fox, the enchanting sounds of an African gospel choir, and the rich, soulful voice of rising Canadian folk artist Billy the Kid, in a duet on “Letters” – a song that pays tribute to the families of those serving in the armed forces. Armed with a plethora of material, a continuously growing & loyal fan base, and the drive that many bands aspire for but only few possess, it’s only a matter of time before Breaching Vista is a household name in Canadian music. "Their CD Release Party was nothing short of an over-the-top splash of talent and excitement when a sold-out crowd turned up" - Velvet Rope Magazine “If you’re a fan of Alternative Rock, you can’t miss out on this band. I know after listening to this, I need to see them live.” - Marina Boy “A decidedly emo pop aesthetic but tight, dulcet guitars, double-kick and occasional African-folk inspired back-up seem to make good neighbours. Who knew?” - The Portal Magazine “Their music is unmistakably rock but it’s punchy with a lot of edge. This band’s sound is epic, there’s just no other way to describe it” – Soul Matters Mag "A song like "Nervous" has enormous chart hit potential" - RockFreaks.Net “These guys have a great formulaic sound, perfect radio friendly driven rock.” - May The Rock Be With You “This is one of those under the radar albums that you should not miss.” - Melodic Net "The overall running vibe of the album is catchiness, something BREACHING VISTA have proven to have plenty of" - My Global Mind “All throughout the record; memorable choruses, impressive bass and guitars as well as catchy drums capture the attention of the listener.” - VisiONtheNet “This album is an example that proves true the old adage of radio music: “It’s popular for a reason.”” - We Got This Covered “It is easy to imagine the music as an outline for a manic rock’n’ro’mantic tragedy to be produced for the theater or the big screen” - Black Hat Media “A thirteen song debut album that shows a lot of maturity, some great lyrics and an incredible sound. To say that I’m impressed by this band and their debut release is an understatement.” - /scribbles "a catchy-as-hell slice of pop-rock" - Mass Movement Mag
