ABOUT THIS CD PROJECT: After a long period of silence, Gabriela’s second CD, Lovesick, has been birthed. The title song is based on the “Song of Songs" which expresses the love relationship between the Creator and His bride – Israel. In a reality where our beloved country, Israel, is threatened from within and without, where material things are emphasized over the spiritual, Lovesick points to the greatly needed balance for our hurting and divided society. It is a call to return to our spiritual origins. Not through religion or rituals of man, but a call to search our hearts and to draw near to the God of Israel. In Lovesick, Gabriela’s love for Jazz and Latin music is delightfully apparent. Its eclectic mix includes a fascinating fusion of East and West. Piano, guitar, sax and harp, interwoven with ethnic instruments form an intriguing musical tapestry. From start to finish, Lovesick is infused with a holy passion to draw closer to the Beloved. Gabriela is also a ceramic artist who runs an art gallery in the Galilee.
