KIND OF GIRL hit the airwaves and shot into heavy rotation in the southwestern US, especially in the collage market. Along with David Bowie and The Plimsouls, KIND OF GIRL was in HOT ROTATION and top 10 spins for 4 weeks or so in Tuscon, Tempe and Phoenix. Now, fully remastered, this track plays with the full fidelity not realized in vinyl. This was produced by Mimi Betinis (Pezband). Sam Hubbel (Michael Heaton) played an alternate guitar part and Carlo Iaccino (the Kind) played his perfect drums. Mimi sang chorus vocals and played Guitar, Bass, Piano and picked "Door Bell" along with assorted Percussion. Recorded and mixed at Dr.Caw Studio in Glenview, IL by Craig Williams, the pressing was originally released on din-key Records from Chicago, mastered by Ed Stryzek (RCA-Chicago) at his Oak Lawn Suite, plated and pressed by Larry Sherman (The Mauds) at Musical Products (in the old Harmony Guitar building on 26th). PR was handled by the luminous Cary Baker (IRS Records, Capitol Records). This was the lead-off track of a 4-song project though only 3 songs were included in the pressing.
